In a rant online, West Lothian MP Hannah Bardell warned people not to come to Bangour as they are "not welcome."

She said: "Some of you might have seen in the news people coming from all parts of the North of England and other parts of Scotland and beyond to visit the site

"Many of these people had been coming and doing willful destruction and setting fires and putting quite frankly lives in the local community at risk

"I'm going to reiterate the message that I put out there the other day - do not come to the Bangour Site - don't disturb and cause the distress that's being visited upon the people of Dechmont because this is a very sensitive site...

'If you're not from the area - don't come here to the Bangour site because you're not welcome"
