Angus Robertson, Scotland’s new constitution secretary, has announced the birth of his second child.
The SNP MSP revealed a picture of the new baby girl on Twitter after she was born last night just after 6pm.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have named their new arrival Flora and thanked the staff at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The senior SNP minister was recently elected to the Scottish Parliament as the new Edinburgh Central MSP.
The former MP was previously the party's Westminster leader.
Announcing the birth of his daughter on Twitter Mr Robertson wrote: "Welcome to the world baby Flora. Thanks to everyone at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Mother and baby doing great."
MSPs from across the political divide wished the family congratulations.
The SNP’s Michael Matheson wrote: "Many congratulations and welcome to baby Flora."
Labour MSP Monica Lennon said: "Congratulations!"
And Lib Dem MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton wrote: "Congratulations, Angus."
