SNP leader Ian Blackford makes embarrassing Royal baby gaffe

The SNP leader Ian Blackford made an embarrassing Royal baby gaffe when he tried to congratulate the new parents.

He said in the House of Commons: "Can I also congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Wessex".

But MPs erupted at his slip up.

And an SNP colleague had to quietly inform Mr Blackford that Meghan and Harry are actually the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Duke and Duchess of Wessex are, in fact, Sophie and Edward.

Mr Blackford also neglected to mention that the baby has a Scottish title and is the Earl of Dumbarton.
