Boris Johnson has been accused of skipping the last three COBRA meetings and being "missing in action" over his reaction to the spread of the coronavirus Omicron variant.
The SNP's Westminster leader Ian Blackford urged the Prime Minister to recall parliament in order for MPs to quiz the government on the new strain of the virus.
It was announced last night the devolved nations would be given more funding to deal with the rapidly spreading Omicron variant which has become the dominant strain in Scotland.
Ministers have urged Scots to minimise social mixing and haven't ruled out implementing new restrictions in the lead up to Christmas.
The First Minister's of Scotland (Nicola Sturgeon), Wales (Mark Drakford) and Northern Ireland (Paul Givan) all attended a COBRA meeting on covid yesterday.
Following the meeting the Treasury announced it was doubling the covid funding for the Scottish Government to £440 million on top of their Autumn Budget 2021 funding.
On the BBC's Good Morning Scotland programme Blackford said the Scottish Government needed the resources to deal with the new variant.
He added: "We need to make sure that we've got the resources that the government needs in order that we can deal with the crisis.
"There was a COBRA meeting that took place yesterday, the First Ministers of all the devolved nations were invited, that invitation came from the Prime Minister but neither the Prime Minister or the Chancellor thought it important enough to attend.
"That's three COBRA meetings on the trot.
"The Scottish Government has asked the UK to confirm whether or not the money that's been talked about is additional money or whether there's a drawdown from next year's finances.
"We still haven't got answers to those questions, but of course if it is a drawdown for money for the following year then that has implications to our budget and spending.
"What we need to make sure is that we've got the resources that we need so we can respond to the crisis."
Asked if Westminster should be recalled, he said: "We are in the face of a crisis with the pandemic. The numbers of those infected is increasing at an alarming rate.
"I think it is important that parliamentarians can hold the government to account and particularly the Prime Minister and the Chancellor that appear to be missing in action."
A No 10 spokesperson said: "The Prime Minister spoke with all the First Ministers and Deputy First Minister on Friday to discuss the shared challenges of Covid 19.
"Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Steve Barclay chaired a constructive COBR meeting between the UK Government and the Devolved Administrations to discuss potential workforce disruption arising from the omicron variant, and plans to prepare for that. It is standard practice for leading ministers to chair COBR.
"The Government works closely with all of the devolved governments including through COBR meetings and continued daily official level co-ordination.”
