Snowdonia has been named the UK's top national park in a new study.
Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages pored over data to compare things such as size, popularity, permissible footpaths for walking, places to eat, biodiversity, highest mountains, castles, and dark skies to name an overall winner.
According to data pulled from National Biodiversity Network Atlas, Snowdonia is the most biodiverse national park with 14,580 distinct species and it also scored highly for walking, mountains and its Google review rating.

Also listed is Brecon Beacons itself, placing fourth in the top 10 list for its mountains, waterfalls and underground caverns. As well as its nine different castles and lack of light pollution, which means it has held dark sky status since 2013.
According to the study, the top ten UK national parks are:
1: Snowdonia
2: Yorkshire Dales
3: Lake District
4: Brecon Beacons
5: Peak District
6: Cairngorms
7: South Downs
8: Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
9: Northumberland
10: North York Moors
It comes after Tenby was recently named second prettiest town in the UK.
The Pembrokeshire town saw off competition from more than 160 UK destinations to take second place, just behind Keswick in the Lake District.
Each town and village was scored on multiple ranking factors, including how many awards it has, the number of Instagram hashtags, how many times it featured in articles featuring "UK's prettiest places" and "UK's prettiest towns and villages", local National Trust sites and the number of Google images.
