A woman was left unconscious with blood running down her face after she was struck by lightning at the top of Mount Snowdon in north Wales.
Shortly after 1.30pm today Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team was called out by North Wales police to the summit of Wales' tallest mountain, also known as Yr Wyddfa.
Some members of the rescue team strode out to the summit on foot, others on the mountain train, while some flew up to the top on a Coast Guard rescue helicopter.
Once there they found two women who had been hit by lightning.

The most seriously injured had blood running down the side of her face and was falling in and out of consciousness.
The other was less badly hurt.
Both were evacuated back down the mountain to Clogwyn station by the rescue team, where they were flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor in the helicopter.
Neither of the women are in life threatening conditions.
The broader Snowdonia area has been battered by miserable weather for much of today.
As well as lightning strikes and booming thunder, large hailstones have fallen and ominous looking funnel clouds have formed overhead.
Similarly inclement scenes have been witnessed across the UK, with fast flowing flood waters in northern Scotland prompting an amber weather warning from the Met Office.
This afternoon patients were transferred out of Trafford General hospital after it was struck by lightning.
The outlook is not much cheerier for the next couple of days.
Fearsome winds which pose a danger to people's lives are forecast to rip through the country tomorrow and Friday.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for South West and South East England, running from Thursday evening into Friday.
The national forecaster has warned that large stretches of the country are at risk of winds strong enough to rip off roof tiles and damage buildings.
Roads, train lines and ferries could all be impacted as the wind howls throughout the evening, night and following morning.
