Australian snowboarders Adam Lambert and Valentino Guseli have iced the FIS World Cup season in medal-winning style.
Lambert claimed snowboard cross gold in Canada, and Guseli secured halfpipe silver in Switzerland.
The final-weekend performances put both into second place overall on their respective World Cup standings.
Lambert's victory at the Canadian resort of Mont‑Sainte‑Anne was the second World Cup win of his career, capping off a standout season for the 28‑year‑old from Jindabyne in the NSW Snowy Mountains.
He finished the campaign with four podium finishes, including two victories, and a career‑high second place World Cup ranking.
Lambert was in outstanding form in Mont‑Sainte‑Anne, winning all his heats to progress to the big final and set up a Crystal Globe showdown with German tour leader Leon Ulbricht, who held a 42‑point advantage heading into the race. To claim the overall title, Lambert needed to win the final and for Ulbricht to finish fourth.
Using his renowned drafting skills, Lambert made his move into the lead in the lower section of the course and held on to cross first. Ulbricht finished second to secure the Crystal Globe with 435 points, 22 ahead of Lambert.
"I couldn't be happier today, this is exactly what I needed to do to have any shot at the Crystal Globe,'' Lambert said.
"Ulbricht managed to pull out second place, which is incredible for him. I am just happy that I did exactly what I wanted, I can't complain at all."
Also competing for Australia in Mont‑Sainte‑Anne were Abbey Wilson, who recorded a personal-best eighth in her first career semi‑final, and James Johnstone, who finished 21st.
Milan‑Cortina Olympic gold medallist Josie Baff finished ninth to end the season fourth, while teammate Mia Clift placed 15th in the event and finished the season eighth.
In Silvaplana, Switzerland, Guseli claimed his fifth medal of the season at the snowboard halfpipe World Cup final with silver, capping an impressive season after missing the previous year through injury.
In the final, the 20-year-old from NSW had a fall on his opening run, but responded with a spectacular second run, to post a score of 91 points, enough for second place.
Guseli's podium run showcased his trademark amplitude, featuring an alley‑oop backside 720, cab double cork 1080, frontside double cork 1260, backside double cork 1080 and switch backside double cork 1080.
Winter Olympics champion Yuto Totsuka, of Japan, won with a best score of 94 points from his opening run.
The result secured the Crystal Globe for Totsuka on 460 points, while Guseli finished second on 380. Guseli also ended the season second on the overall park and pipe standings.
The World Cup final concludes in Silvaplana on Monday (AEDT), with Indra Brown aiming to finish her remarkable rookie season by securing the freeski halfpipe Crystal Globe.
Brown leads the women's halfpipe World Cup standings on 290 points, holding a 30‑point advantage over Great Britain's Zoe Atkin.
