Snow warning for UK with 'very frosty' temperatures set to hit Merseyside

If you were hoping for a late Indian summer or mild autumn, things aren't looking great.

Across Merseyside, temperatures have dropped significantly while the weather has been overcast or raining.

And it's not looking like the weather will change anytime soon.

Temperatures are expected to plummet further to 13C during the day and 10C in the early morning in some parts of Merseyside.

According to Yorkshire Live, the Met Office's Aidan Givern said: "With Atlantic weather now in charge, we can expect very changeable weather through the week. There'll be wind and rain, but also showery and sunnier periods at times."

Snow has already been said to have hit hilly parts of Scotland, with pictures circulating in the national media and more could fall in the UK in the coming weeks.

Meteorological expert Dave told ITV This Morning last week: "There's a snow moon on October 29, followed by two more snow moons in the first three weeks of November. So it is gonna be bitterly cold and very frosty.

“That's bad news for people with gas and electric because your bills are going through the roof.”

Liverpool was turned into a winter wonderland in January this year as the city was left covered in a blanket of white.
