Snow set to hit Leeds in a matter of days - here's what the forecasters are saying

Leeds has been basking in glorious sunshine for a few days now - even if we don't get to enjoy it at the moment.

But it may not last.

Despite the temperature topping 15°C today, there is a strong possibility that it could snow in the coming days.

Although April is just around the corner, forecasters are predicting that Leeds might be blanketed in a thin layer of the white stuff as temperatures look set to fall dramatically.

The weather experts at netweather.tv have analysed the outlook for the coming days and are suggesting that Monday, March 30, is when Leeds could see snow.

In fact, there is a 64 per cent chance of snowfall between 7am and 10am on Monday morning.

There is also a 24 per cent chance of snow from 4am until 7am, while the forecasters reckon there is a 36 per cent likelihood of the white stuff from 1pm until 4pm.

It is set to get slightly colder over the next few days and although we could see the mercury rise as high as 16°C today (Wednesday), the peak temperature on Friday will be just 11°C.

Saturday and Sunday will be colder still, with highs of 9°C and 7°C respectively - and by the time next week comes round, we could be in for one last blast of snow.

With the official government advice telling us all to stay inside during the coronavirus pandemic, the cold snap could actually provide the perfect excuse to get cosy infront of the TV and watch a few films.
