Snow Patrol Waterfront Hall shows postponed

Snow Patrol have announced that they will be rescheduling their Waterfont Hall shows, which were set to take place on November 28 and 29.

The band, well-known for singles like 'Chasing Cars', 'Open Your Eyes' and 'Run', shared the news on their Twitter account on Wednesday evening.

In a statement, they said: "Due to continued illness we have to reschedule this week’s belfast shows. We will post info & dates soon.

"The shows’ll be within the next few weeks."

The Waterfront Hall have also issued a statement, saying:

"We will be contacting all lead bookers tomorrow (28 November), who booked via the venue, with further information on possible rescheduled dates."

On Tuesday, the band announced that they would be that night, also due to illness.

They addressed their Dublin show in the statement, writing:

"We of course looked into rescheduling the Dublin show but there is no suitable availability (we are deeply sorry about that)."

Snow Patrol had announced the gigs as part of their brand new 'Reworked' UK & Ireland Tour.

The shows were set to involve the band playing reimagined versions of tracks from their catalog, as well as new songs from their Reworked album.

This is not the first time Snow Patrol have had to cancel concerts at short notice.

During the summer, the band cancelled a number of shows on their European tour due to separate injuries from guitarists Johnny McDaid and Nathan Connolly.
