
Mt. Fuji was visible from central Tokyo on Monday. Clear autumn weather made it possible to enjoy stunning views of the mountain from the capital.
The Kofu Local Meteorological Office on Monday confirmed the first snowfall on Mt. Fuji this season.
The first snowfall this year was 24 days earlier than last year and two days earlier than usual, according to the meteorological office. Snow fell from Sunday evening, it said.
Separately from the meteorological office, the city of Fujiyoshida, located at the base of the mountain, announced the season's first snowfall on Sept. 21.
