Snow forecast for three days next week in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as temperatures plummet

Nottingham and the county is set to experience snow next week, according to forecasters.

The Weather Channel has forecasted snow showers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (December 11, 12 and 13) as temperatures begin to plummet even further.

This comes after the Met Office has issued a warning for 'freezing fog' in southern parts of the country.

The fog could cause traffic problems and even flight cancellations, according to forecasters.

What have forecasters predicted for next week?

Weather experts have said that next week is going to become particularly wet while temperatures reach lows of 0C.

As temperatures plummet, this increases the chances of snow in the areas affected.

Monday December 9 - Partly cloudy - Highs of 7C and lows of 1C

Tuesday, December 10 - Showers - Highs of 5C and lows of 2C

Wednesday, December 11 - Rain/snow showers - Highs of 5C and lows of 1C

Thursday, December 12 - Rain/snow showers - Highs of 4C and lows of 0C

Friday, December 13 - Rain/snow showers - Highs of 3C and lows of 1C

Saturday, December 14 - Showers - Highs of 4C and lows of 1C

Sunday, December 15 - Showers - Highs of 4C and lows of 2C
