Just a few weeks into the start of Spring and snow is set to fall in the Southern Tablelands this Friday evening into Saturday morning.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting snow to fall above 900 metres on Friday, down to 700m on Saturday, with falls expected in Crookwell, Laggan, Taralga, and south-east towards Goulburn.
According to the bureau's MetEye, snow could start falling in the region in the early evening on Friday, continuing to fall on Saturday morning, with falls expected to ease by late morning.
Overnight temperatures are expected to plummet to between minus 1 degrees Celsius and 2 above zero, with daytime temperatures of between 8 and 12 degrees.
The chill factor will increase with north-westerly winds gusting to 45 kilometres per hour on Friday morning then turning westerly to 35km/h in the late afternoon, on Saturday to 45km/h
The bureau has forecast for temperatures to remain chilly for early next week, with a shower or two on Wednesday.
A warning to sheep graziers is in place for Friday in the Southern Tablelands.
