There could be wintry weather today in the Bristol area – including some snow on Tuesday evening.
The BBC is forecasting light snow from 7pm tonight for an hour in the city, along with a chilly temperature of just 3C.
Across the wider South West, wintry conditions will also be a factor as the cold weather continues after the warm weather over Saturday and Sunday.
It’s all to do with Arctic air heading south across the UK that saw a sharp decline in temperatures.
People who were outside in the sun on Sunday in the warmth, were facing hail stones and a bitter wind on Monday.
For Tuesday, the BBC is forecasting clear, sunny skies until noon when cloud will move in.
Sunny intervals can be expected until 7pm when we could see some light snow, followed by a clear night.
The Met Office also forecasts some light snow today, but suggests it will fall in the Yate area of South Gloucestershire from 10pm until midnight. Light snow could also fall in Gloucestershire.

Tonight: Wintry showers ease through the evening, clearing in the east, leaving clear skies, but feeling colder as a result. Cloudy in the west, with showers continuing over Cornwall. Widespread frosts. Minimum temperature -1C.
Wednesday: A brief dry and sunny start, before cloud enshrouds the region, followed by scattered showers, likely falling as rain. These showers ease and clear into the night. Still feeling cold. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Largely dry but turning cloudy Thursday, though noticeably milder. A few showers on Friday, becoming cold again. A mixture of some sunny spells and light but frequent showers on Saturday.
