Snow Factor promotes former policeman to operations director

The owner of Snow Factor Glasgow has promoted customer care manager Fraser Weir to operations director at the venue.

The former police officer's assistant Scott Hanlon steps up to customer care manager for indoor winter sports centre Snow Factor while Ross Gilchrist becomes slope operations & snowsports school manager, supported by Dyllan Munro as Slope Administrator.

Snow factor Glasgow's parent company is Ice Factor Group, which also owns ice climbing centre Ice Factor Kinlochleven in the Highlands. Snow Factor welcomes more than 130,000 visitors a year and its ski and snowboarding lessons attract more than 25,000 participants annually.

Group owner Jamie Smith said: “Offering the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction is fundamental to the continued success of our year-round snow-sports business. I am very pleased that with these key internal promotions. Including Fraser Weir as operations director we are recognising the skills and professionalism of our staff as we look forward to driving the business forward in the year ahead.”
