Snow expected in Leeds over Easter with lows of -1°C and 'wintry showers'

Temperatures are expected to drop over the weekend in Leeds with chances of snow during Easter.

The Met Office says there could be rain and hill snow on Sunday afternoon and the cold weather will continue into Monday.

But this news comes after a mini-heatwave on Tuesday and Wednesday that saw temperatures reach up to 21°C - higher than temperatures in Magaluf, Spain.

However, temperatures are expected to lows of -1°C by Easter Monday.

Today (Thursday) will be a much colder day compared to previous days earlier this week, there will be highs of 11°C with low temperatures of 4°C.

On Friday, the weather will be the same with overcast changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon.

A statement on the Met Office website about the overlook from Saturday to Monday reads “Saturday often large amounts of cloud, but also sunny spells. Sunday frosty start then bright morning, before rain and hill snow arrive in the afternoon. Monday cold, windy, wintry showers.”
