Wreck of the week: Northumberland. This is a four-bed former school caretaker’s house in Alnwick. New windows have been put in, but £100,000 is needed to strip and refit the interior – on top of the £199,950 asking price. It’s down a quiet access lane off the centre of this glorious town, and has large gardens and generous rooms. Given its history it should be no surprise that a school is hard by.
