Wreck of the week: Batley, West Yorkshire. Vandals have ripped out most of the original fireplaces and caused some damage to this four-bedroom double-fronted house. With the additional weariness of the decor you should bank on £50,000-£60,000 to revive its fortunes on top of the £425,000 price tag. Beyond the large garden rolls voluptuous green scenery, yet Plymouth is only three miles away and the city hospital less than that.
