Snooker prodigy two wins away from historic World Championship spot

World Championship

Polish snooker prodigy Michal Szubarczyk, aged 15, is two wins away from becoming the youngest player to qualify for the World Championship.
He advanced to the third qualifying round after defeating Sanderson Lam 10-8.
Szubarczyk previously became the youngest ever World Championship match winner by beating Ng On Yee in the opening round of qualifying.
He is scheduled to face Hossein Vafaei in Sheffield on Saturday in the next stage of the qualifiers.
The teenager has drawn comparisons to seven-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and has received praise from three-time world champion Mark Williams.
