Snoochie Shy says she has grown in confidence while on I’m A Celebrity.
The 29-year-old Radio 1Xtra DJ hid a birthmark on her face with make-up for decades until going onto the show but finally spoke about it with campmates.
After her eviction she said: “It’s always been part of me. Growing up I was a little bit insecure about it because of past experiences. So this was a challenge for me as it’s the first time people had seen my birthmark – only my friends and family knew. I thought, if I am going into the castle I am going to take it face on. I feel much better for it.
“I am really happy I did that and it was a big journey for me in the castle.”
Snoochie even enjoyed her Dreaded Diner trial, despite losing to Danny Miller.
She told ITV ’s Lorraine: “I know it’s crazy but I literally loved it. I grew up watching the show and the eating trials are the ones you see a lot and think ‘I need to do that’. I ate some weird things like a cow’s bum but it just tastes like normal meat, just a little bit cold.
“The fermented duck egg or vomit fruit, I am never going to revisit, it does make you feel queasy.”
Snoochie cannot wait to return home to her cat, Magnum, grinning: “I love my mom but she is going to come second.”
