Cannabis worth an estimated €720,000 has been seized after Gardai searched four cars in Meath and Dublin on Thursday.
Two men in their 30s and one man in his 40s have been arrested after Gardai - assisted by sniffer dogs - found 36kgs of Cannabis.
Four addresses in Dublin, Meath and Louth were also searched as part of an investigation targeting serious organised criminal activity.
Head of Organised and Serious Crime Assistant Commissioner John O'Driscoll said: "The seizure today of a significant quantity of illicit drugs and the arrest of three suspects demonstrates the value of ongoing positive working relationships forged by An Garda Síochána with partner agencies, in Ireland, with the Revenue Customs Service.
"We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to tackle organised crime that impacts negatively on communities”.
The three men arrested in connection with the seizure are being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ashbourne and Ronanstown Garda Stations.
