When they searched the vehicle they found bags containing white powder and a knuckleduster during the incident on October 25, 2018.

Mann, of Finsbury Avenue, Sneinton, went on to plead guilty to possession of a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was given a 22-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Monday (March 7).

Detective Sergeant James Oakton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “As this example shows, we will continue to proactively stop vehicles we believe are involved in criminality.

“Proactive policing of the roads is an essential tool in our ongoing efforts to keep people safe and we will do everything in our power to pursue and catch criminals and bring them before the court.”
