Snapchat model sells outfit from viral Wayne Rooney photos as she 'won't wear it again'

A Snapchat model who was pictured with a sleeping Wayne Rooney in a hotel room is flogging the outfit she wore during the saga.

Tayler Ryan, 21, has sold the tiny blue skirt and top set she wore on the now notorious night out which ended with her being pictured with the Derby County manager.

Ms Ryan was among a group of young women who found themselves in the spotlight after their pictures with the fully clothed former England ace seemingly asleep in his chair went viral.

They told reporters they had been "stunned" when the married footballer's group invited them to join their party for drinks in a VIP area in Manchester.

The viral snaps then led to a police probe and the young women faced vile death threats on social media.

Ms Ryan this week scored £40 for her outfit that night, after listing it on platform Depop with the description: “won’t wear again”.

Ms Ryan, and her pals Elise Melvin and Brooke Morgan, also both 21, met former striker Rooney at Chinawhite club in Manchester on a Saturday night in July.

Rooney and two of his friends then allegedly went back to the their hotel for an after-party, a source told The Sun.

There was no suggestion Rooney was involved in any wrongdoing.

There is also no suggestion the women, who were seen joking around in the images, were knowingly involved in any criminal activity.

A friend told the newspaper the women had been celebrating a pal's birthday when Rooney and his mates invited them to their booth.

Pictures from inside the hotel that same night showed Rooney apparently dozing with the caption "Sleepy Wayne".

Greater Manchester Police were contacted after the images went viral on social media and were shared in WhatsApp messages.

The footballer, who is married to childhood sweetheart Coleen, 35, with whom he shares five children, was reportedly concerned he had been "set up".

His lawyers contacted Cheshire Police, who opened a blackmail probe.

However the force said that after speaking to the person involved officers were satisfied that no offences had taken place.

"The person involved has also stated that they do not wish to take the matter any further," a spokesperson added.

Tayler, a model with 34,000 followers on Instagram and tens of thousands on TikTok, is also a YouTube fashion vlogger.

The young women later apologised to the footballer for embarrassing him and handed him the copyright of the images for just £1.

They also revealed they had been left feeling " petrified" after receiving appalling death threats in the wake of the viral pictures.
