Martinez / ReutersThe Tories are finding it very difficult to resist this morning. No, not cocaine, but commenting on it. David Davis's backing for a crackdown on middle-class coke users in the Evening Standard is a sharp twist of the knife from a candidate who said only yesterday that he wasn't stirring it. Resistance is also proving futile for Conservative bloggers today, who've taken delight in the Guardian's front page photo - as seen here - of the man in the eye of the storm, David Cameron. It shows the bookies' favourite to capture the Conservative crown smirking in front of a poster - for the West End play The Producers - that reads, "As much fun as you can have in London with your trousers on". His expression suggests he knows what the photographers are up to.
