These mountain gorillas look snap happy to pose for an incredible photo with their park ranger pals.
The pair of primates were spotted gazing down the camera at Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Fortunately, an anti-poaching ranger was on hand to catch the incredible sight in a selfie for the ages.
Africa’s oldest national park, Virunga is home to around one-third of the world’s critically-endangered mountain gorillas.
That means it is also a regular hunting ground for poachers, which is why a force of around 600 park rangers patrol the area. As these brave men and women spend years building up a strong relationship with the animals.

The photos were posted on The Elite Anti Poaching Units And Combat Trackers’ Facebook page in a bid to highlight the animals’ beauty and showcase the anti-poachers’ work.
Its caption simply read: “Another day at the office…”
But sadly life as a ranger at Virunga is not all gorilla selfies.
Earlier this month, the park announced on its website the death of a ranger who had worked in the park since 2010.

He died in hospital from wounds he sustained during “a wildlife-related incident” and was the 177th Virunga park ranger to die in the line of duty.
