Snap count notes: Rashard Higgins blanked in his return

Rashard Higgins was active for Sunday’s game with the Seattle Seahawks, but there was no Hollywood happy ending for the Browns wide receiver. Higgins did not play a single snap in Cleveland’s 32-28 loss to the visiting Seahawks.

Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry both played extensively, as expected. Beckham played 68 of the 69 offensive snaps, with Landry in for 66. Antonio Callaway provided the No. 3 option at wideout on 47 snaps. No other wide receivers played.

At tight end, Ricky Seals-Jones has taken over as the top option with David Njoku injured. Seals-Jones saw the most snaps with 47, followed by Pharaoh Brown (23) and Demetrius Harris (19).

Defensively, all but one of the starters all played well over two-thirds of the 83 snaps. The lowest was safety Morgan Burnett, who gave way to Eric Murray during the game. Murray was on the field for 57 of the 83 Seahawks offensive plays, with Burnett playing just 19.

Reserve DT Devaroe Lawrence saw the most action among the backups up front with 22 reps. Chad Thomas played 13. Adarius Taylor continued his uptick in reps as the No. 3 LB, on the field for nine plays. The Browns didn’t use three LBs on nine total plays in the first three weeks combined.
