Snakes on a bus - Paisley bus driver busts slippery passenger for snaking a free ride

Forget snakes on a plane - here in Scotland our slithering reptiles are a little more down to earth.

One particular serpent has gone viral after he was caught trying to catch a free ride on a bus.

The creature slithered onto a seat of a bus in Paisley but the quick thinking driver managed catch the sneaky customer out.

In a post to their Facebook page today,  McGills buses said: “Our Inspector Mick removing a fare dodging 'passenger' from a bus in Paisley yesterday.

"Now safely back with its owner but we hope it 'adder' good time."

They later added: "The very friendly corn snake was with its owner after a couple of hours in the very safe hands of the SSPCA. Have a lovely day."

Brave bus driver Mick came to the rescue and returned the snake to its owner (Facebook)
