There's good news and bad for those hoping to scoop up a PS5 before Christmas, with Smyths customers who've pre-ordered the in-demand console set to get the goods by December 18th.
But in a blow to those who didn't get their pre-order in, Smyths says it does not expect any more PS5s in until January 2021.
PS5s have become as rare as hen's teeth in recent weeks, as gamers scramble to get their hands on the hotly anticipated new console.
A number of stores – including Smyths, Gamestop, Harvey Norman and more – have actually run out of PS5s amid a surge in demand.
The Smyths notice is displayed on the toy giant's website for all those who view PS5s – in both the digital and traditional editions of the console.
It comes after PlayStation promised to have more PS5s in Ireland before the end of the year.
A spokesperson for the gaming giant said: "We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever.
"Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year - please stay in touch with your local retailers."
Many customers have been left pulling their hair out by the difficulties they've encountered while attempting to get their hands on a console, with some even claiming they were sent other items when they pre-ordered a PS5.
Freelance journalist Bex April May claims that she was sent an air fryer instead of her PS5.
And Robert Russell, 24 from Corby, was horrified when he opened the box to find that he had been sent a packet of kitchen roll, two packets of toilet roll, two packets of A4 paper and a small fan heater.
