Smyth's Toys unveil PS5 new stock date as customers desperate to get console

Smyth's Toys has revealed when it plans to restock more PS5s for customers who are desperate to get their hands on a console.

Shoppers have had their eye on the retailer, which has been one of the main sellers for gamers hoping to buy the next-gen consoles since its release in November.

Many customers have been scrambling to get one since Smyth's dropped its last console stock last week and are eagerly awaiting when another drop will come to the store, reports Birmingham Live.

But it might be sooner than they think after Smyth's Toys appeared to have told customers that they won't need to wait much longer, revealing that more stock will arrive in February.

While an exact date is yet to be disclosed, Smyth's dropped stock on 15 January - meaning stock could come around that time.

Elsewhere, other retailers have faced issues as they attempted to drop stock in the past week, with Argos forced to investigate claims that people were able to buy consoles before it dropped its stock.

And another Twitter user wrote: "@ArgosHelpers @Argos_Online so are the rumours true? Have the scalpers managed to get ps5 units from stores?

"I’ve been holding out until I could click and collect. It’s clear now that units are in stores can you please let me know the date they are going live?"
