JAMMU: An industrial visit-cum-educational tour was conducted by the School of Electronics and Communication (ECE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) at Semi-conductor Laboratory (SCL), space centre, ISRO, Mohali.
SMVDU Katra spokesperson said, "During the tour to space centre, ISRO Mohali, the visiting students learned about the field of semiconductor devices, their importance in the modern-day scenario, their fabrication, packaging and their role in space explorations etc."
"The session was followed by a brisk question-answer round. After this mind-boggling session, everyone was taken for a visit to the laboratories, under the guidance of Kul Bhushan."
"It was an intensely informative and enriching educational visit to the semi-conductor laboratory", said head, ECE, Dr Manish Sabraj.
Dr Ashish Suri, coordinator of the event, said that at SCL, everyone participated in interactive sessions and presentations were also conducted.
Dr Gaurav Kumar and Ms Pooja Sharma, faculty members, ECE also accompanied the visiting students.
