Smug Piers Morgan teases 'incredible news' after slamming Meghan's '17 lies'

Piers Morgan has been teasing fans about his next project after he was axed from Good Morning Britain.

The TV presenter, 56, said he had some "incredible news" that he couldn't yet share in a tweet he posted on Wednesday afternoon.

He is yet to announce what his next job will be after he quit GMB following the huge backlash over his comments about Meghan Markle, in which he said he refused to believe the claims she made in her interview with Oprah Winfrey, including that she was suicidal.

While he is still kicking up a fuss about what happened, including a huge interview with US show in which he called Meghan and Prince Harry liars, he's teased that something else is already in the pipeline.

"Just got some incredible news. Will post a bit later," Piers tweeted.

His Twitter followers were desperate to know what the news was.

One replied: "Hopefully not too long to wait???!"

"Well I'll be right here, on the edge of my seat," another tweeted.

A third said: "It better be you've got your own late night talk show. Whatever it is it sounds exciting."

"C'mon Piers. Spill," another fan begged him.

This week Piers gave an interview about the GMB backlash to US show Extra.

In it he claimed that Meghan and Harry made 17 untrue allegations when they were interviewed by Oprah.

He also claimed that members of the Royal Family, who he refused to name, reached out to him to offer their support following the uproar.

Piers accused his co-host Alex Beresford of planning to launch into a rant at him, which caused him to storm off, on the day he quit GMB.
