2019 SMU Mustangs Football Schedule Analysis
– The Mustangs need to get off to a hot start to build up an early base of wins. However, the Arkansas State and North Texas games should be wild shootouts. Texas State shouldn’t be an issue, but that’s followed up by a trip to TCU. Get through the non-conference schedule 3-1, and everything should be okay.
– There’s no UCF from the East, but the Mustangs have to play USF on the road right after going to TCU. Getting East Carolina isn’t bad, and while Temple is strong, at least that’s in Dallas.
– Going down the road to Houston is bad enough, but SMU also has to go to Memphis a week later. There’s a run of three road games in four dates over the second half of the season. The Tulane and Tulsa games are at home.
