After much speculation, it has been confirmed that SMTV Live will make a return to screens this Christmas.
Over the past year, rumours have been rife that hosts Ant & Dec and Cat Deeley were plotting a reunion, and it looked very much on the cards after the trio were spotted together in London during the summer.
Well now, SMTV fans will be able to travel back 20 years as the much loved Saturday morning show is getting a festive special.
The Story of SMTV Live will be a trip down memory lane for Ant, Dec and Cat who will look back at the things that turned the show into a cult classic, like Wonkey Donkey and Chums.
The original SMTV set has been recreated for the trio who will delve into the ITV archives to share their favourite moments.
The Story of SMTV Live will cover the first few years of the show when Ant, Dec and Cat were at the helm and not the later years, when the likes of H from Steps and Brian Dowling took over as hosts.
The Christmas special will also feature interviews with regular SM:TV guests and celebrity fans. One episode of Chums memorably featured a cameo from music diva Mariah Carey!
The exact air date of The Story of SMTV Live is set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
