Good to see the latest issue of Smoke: A London Peculiar is up to the same standard as the last three issues.
For those of us who don't manage to catch Robert Elms' lunchtime radio show on BBC London, but who need to know about the city's secret underground tunnels; the history of Brixton market; calypso songs about the capital; a Nasa probe around Sutton; and what that ramp-like thing at Vauxhall Cross is, it's downright essential.
The regular features (eg London's campest statues) are a joy, and best of all are Simon Storey's photographs. There's also a fair amount of pretentious guff, but we Londoners are used to that.
