Smoke seen coming from vehicle after car park crash in Nottingham city centre

A car has crashed into a car park in Nottingham city centre.

The front of the vehicle has been badly damaged and the air bags were deployed after the incident in Vernon Street, opposite the Strathdon Hotel, before 9.30am on Saturday (May 18).

It is not yet known if the occupants were injured in the incident, but an eye witness told Nottinghamshire Live they saw smoke coming from the car.

When NottinghamshireLive arrived at the scene the driver could not be seen.
