Smith Cooper moves into new offices in Derbyshire market town

A Derby accountancy and business advisory firm has moved into its new office in a Derbyshire market town.

Smith Cooper, which is headquartered at St Helen’s House, in King Street, has this week moved into a former police station in Compton Street, Ashbourne.

The firm had previously had its Ashbourne office in St John Street, in a building it shared with law firm Flint Bishop.

According to Smith Cooper, its new base will allow the business to expand its workforce.

Bruce Montgomery, a partner at Smith Cooper, who is based at the firm’s Ashbourne office, said: “It’s a really exciting period of change here in the Ashbourne branch as we look forward to settling into our new home and welcoming our clients through the door.

“The new offices offer us the opportunity to expand our workforce while maintaining an enviable location in the centre of town.

“The space is fresh, modern and easily accessible to our clients. We are committed to our local area, and it was important that we moved to an office that allowed us to stay local.”

Smith Cooper has six offices across the Midlands, offering a range of bespoke advisory services to both corporate and individual clients.

The new Ashbourne office will offer a range of general accountancy, tax and specialist services, particularly to those operating in the agricultural and landed estates sectors.
