Smile, you’re Salvador Dalí! Artist makes fundraising masks featuring famous faces

An artist has created face coverings using the smiles of historical figures to raise money for NHS workers.

Ron Arad’s designs feature the lower half of the faces of Albert Einstein, Salvador Dalí, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill, Florence Nightingale and Mona Lisa. Two portraits painted by Matisse and two by Picasso also feature in the collection. Stars including Stephen Fry, Jason Isaacs, left, and Natasha Kaplinsky have been spotted wearing the designs.

Proceeds will go to the artist’s Smile For Carers campaign and then donated to various causes supporting NHS frontline workers. The masks cost £9 each or £18 for three.
