
A smile is drawn in the sky above Tokyo Skytree in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, by air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya just after midday on Wednesday. Muroya used smoke from the propeller plane he flew to draw 1-kilometer diameter smiles at an altitude of about 3,000 meters, starting at the tower, then over 10 other locations, including Shibuya Ward and Hachijoji, Tokyo. He hoped to encourage people to look up and feel cheerful amid the prolonged novel coronavirus pandemic.
