One in five couples say stinky cheese puts them in the mood for love... and the whiffier the better.
Gorgonzola and Cambozola give them goose pimples all over and Stilton certainly stops fellas wiltin’.
And the reasons couples get turned on is the distinctive smell from cheese veined with blue or green mould .
It is often described as being like “sweaty feet” – which is usually a turn off.
The surprising revelation came in a poll of 2,000 people asked to reveal foods and drinks they had tried as aphrodisiacs.

Chocolate came top, ahead of strawberries and champagne – but blue cheese beat lobster and came just below truffles.
Prof Charles Spence, a gastrophysicist at the University of Oxford, said: “There has long been an association between romance and the senses, especially eating.
Foods like oysters, because of their texture, have long been considered an aphrodisiac but actually deliver little in the way of aroma or taste. Lobsters and caviar become instant turn-offs due to their price.
“However, soft blue cheese really comes into its own when getting couples in the mood for love.”
One couple certainly agree. Gary Parkinson, 32, of St Albans, Herts, says he loves eating whiffy cheese – and, luckily, his partner Joanna does too.
He said: “I’ve always loved very strong cheese, the smellier the better. I guess I’m lucky in that my partner Joanna loves it too, otherwise she’d probably kick me out of bed if I ate too much of it.”
A chuffed Cambozola spokesman said: “One in five Brits have used blue cheese to get them in the mood for love, relegating lobster to 10th spot.”
