Smell of Liverpool's Lush store could actually cure your hangover

There’s nothing worse than waking up with a hangover and everyone’s got their own way of trying to cure them.

Hair of the dog, a McDonald’s, orange Lucozade and Ibruprofen are amongst the tried and tested hangover remedies , but there’s another cure you might not be familiar with.

A shop in Liverpool could just hold the secret to curing your hangovers once and for all - if you can summon up the energy to drag yourself out of bed that is.

The Lush store on Church Street might not be the first place you think about going when you’re feeling rough after a night out - but it’s worth stopping by to breathe in their powerful aromas.

At a preview of its new Christmas shop on the third floor last week, a Lush spokesperson  told the Echo that some of their products contain a special ingredient which is so uplifting it can ease your hangovers.

The ingredient is Neroli which is derived from the beautifully-scented bitter orange tree. It boasts a heap of beneficial properties and has antioxidant qualities.

According to Lush , its uplifting scent has been proven to increase levels of serotonin - the happy chemicals - in the brain, leaving you feeling cheerful - and hopefully hangover free - once more.

Neroli can be found in Lush’s Good Day Sunshine soap, and Salarium perfume.
