Smashing Pumpkins founder and guitarist James Iha reunited with his former band mates for the first time on Saturday night during a concert at Los Angeles’ Ace Hotel.
Iha celebrated his 48th birthday alongside vocalist Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin by performing hits off their acclaimed 1993 album Siamese Dream.
"Yes, it's James Iha," Corgan told the crowd. Iha left the Smashing Pumpkins after their initial breakup in 2000 and never rejoined the band as various musicians stood in his place.
Corgan and Charmberlin welcomed Iha back by singing "Happy Birthday" to him and even presenting him cake.
