Police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary Sunday at a liquor store in Lincoln Park on the North Side.

Four or five people broke the glass front door shortly after midnight to enter the store in the 2300 block of North Clark Street, according to Chicago police.

The took multiple bottles of liquor, cigarettes, cigars and an unspecified amount of cash from the register, police said. They fled north on Clark, possibly in a dark-colored sedan.

Several businesses on the Magnificent Mile boarded up their storefronts Saturday ahead of Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s “stay-at-home” order taking effect to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The order calls for all “non-essential” businesses across the state to work remotely or shut down until April 7.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
