Mugging victim wore a suit, glasses and a long dark coat in Maitland Road, Stratford
(Picture: Metropolitan Police )Detectives want to trace the suited victim of a knifepoint robbery caught on doorbell camera in east London.
The smartly-dressed male may have been stabbed in the attack, officers said.
He was ambushed by a man and woman in Maitland Road, Stratford at about 2am on Friday, April 8.
The first suspect produced a knife and shouted at the victim to hand over money.
He appeared to stab the victim several times before leaving the scene with the female in the direction of Romford Road.
The attack woke up nearby neighbours and the police were called, however, the victim left prior to officers arriving.
Police searched the area but found no trace.
Detective Constable Georgina Lodge, from the North East area’s burglary and robbery team, said: “We are very concerned that the man may have suffered serious injuries and may not have sought medical attention or informed the police of the incident.
“If this is you in the photograph, or if you know the person in the photograph, please contact us as a matter of urgency.
“First and foremost we want to know that the victim is safe.”
The victim is described as wearing glasses and a long dark coat.
