Our startup is on a mission to find new ways to travel and fund a world adventure. We’re called Travel & Earn and we live by this mantra. Our team is made up of Brits who left the UK for a life of adventure, travel and some hard work on the side. Our finance director lives in China, our marketing director in UK, our web developers in El Salvador, our SEO consultant in Australia and 15 other business partners in another 10 countries.
This decision has meant we’ve had to use technology to find smarter ways to run a remote operation. Our home is our office, Skype our phone line and Dropbox our filing cabinet. Google Hangout is our water-cooler gossip area and we track productivity through the iDoneThis app. We even have team socials, Facetiming in restaurants whilst we eat breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on where we are in the world!
The team is encouraged to travel to keep motivated and find new, innovative ways to grow the business. As a result overheads are kept to a minimum, allowing us to reinvest as much back into the business as possible. Our small startup is a truly global operation, working from every corner of the globe and responding to customers 24/7.
