Name: Obelisk Support
Based: London
Website: www.obelisksupport.com
Obelisk was founded in 2010 with the aim of tapping into highly qualified, highly motivated and highly capable female lawyers who had left City jobs due to workplace inflexibility. By lifting this barrier of inflexibility, Obelisk enables more than 800 lawyers to continue to succeed in their profession, whilst offering clients a viable alternative to traditional structures.
We have three service lines offering varying degrees of flexibility for both clients and lawyers (who mainly work from home):
1) Stand In lawyers - working full or part-time at the client’s offices
2) Stand Out lawyers - working remotely on projects
3) Stand By lawyers - dedicated one-on-one resource for specific clients.
Obelisk encourages clients to be open to flexibility, whilst resourcing and recruitment teams ensure the needs of the lawyers are understood and accommodated.
For example, one lawyer works during school hours three days a week based at the client’s offices and a few hours each evening from home.
The central teams is very lean and we are extremely organised. Our working patterns and efficiency are driven by a desire to remain competitive by keeping low overheads.
