Natural Spa Factory is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. Now in its fifth year, 2014 saw a dramatic acceleration in activity.
Currently supplying one third of the UK and Ireland’s top spas with products and treatments, April marked the start of our enlisting a social media apprentice, two warehouse staff, three full and one part-time member of the sales team - increasing our predominantly female workforce by 50%.
August and September saw the rebrand of our 20 SKUs, prompting the launch of two high-end e-commerce websites to support our trade and retail consumer. We also took this time to invest in a professional photoshoot to showcase our ranges.
During the Christmas period we opened our first pop-up shop, which was a great tool for marketing our brand, successfully securing repeat business and trade enquiries.
Without a doubt the biggest impact was the move into our new premises. Our logistics, production and office team are all under one roof. For a small business this is a bold move, the VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system alone was a huge expense but it has already paid for itself with a saving of nearly 200% on our phone bills.
Although still early days - we moved in on 5 January 2015 - our 1,500 sq ft warehouse now ensures we have full control over quality, ensures efficiency, will help manage our growth and means we can keep a more attentive eye on our production costs which ultimately improve the customer experience.
