We are MGN Events – an event management and party planning company with services covering both private and corporate clients. We have developed innovative new technology in the business this year to improve staff efficiency which involved designing, creating and implementing a unique cloud-based system for putting together client proposals. Over the last 12 months our business leads have increased by 143% and we have improved the efficiency of staff time.
We pinpointed areas in the business that we felt could be improved with the help of systems and noticed that 58% of staff time was spent creating new proposals for our clients. Most of this time was spent formatting proposals, which are created in Microsoft Word.
To solve this problem, we designed and created a cloud-based proposal builder database system. The new template system has ‘off the shelf’ products, prices and pictures already formatted correctly, and any extra bespoke items can be easily added without having to worry about formatting the document.
Because the new system is cloud-based, we can edit anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Staff can now take an iPad to a client meeting and create a bespoke professional-looking proposal and email it to the customer immediately.
This technology has really impressed our clients, who want information on prices quickly. Our speed and professionalism gives them real confidence in our service and the new system has improved efficiency by 62%.
