We’ve set out to change how our business operates and to introduce smart working through virtualisation of the business and workforce.
Juicy Media has been operating as a highly skilled and successful digital development agency for over 10 years. During this time we’ve worked from a number of offices of varying sizes.
With each move came new understandings of how the business should operate, resulting in us recognising that our workforce is our biggest strength, asset and product.
As such, we realised that in the first quarter of 2015 we had to make significant changes to ensure we stayed as leaders in our industry and not merely following the crowd. With that mind-set, we formed a two-pronged attack; 1. Relocating the headquarters to MediaCityUK. 2. Setting up a complete virtual infrastructure and remote working facilities so staff can operate from any location anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.
Our overarching aim was to enhance our product and service offering. Meanwhile, we wanted to offer our staff greater flexibility, an inspiring office location, and enable them to be judged on the quality of their work alone - not whether they can turn-up at an office at 9am and work to 5pm each day.
The learning curve has been dramatic, tough and rewarding. We’re still learning and putting into practice new business processes and technologies, but by leading with virtualisation, the business has evolved exponentially.
