Global Young Executive (GYE) is an online digital magazine startup. A key challenge to running an online magazine that aims to have an international reach has been collaborating with guest journalists who work in different time zones and who are available through different modes of communication. GYE has overcome this in a variety of ways. We have adopted a strategy of joining networks and creating partnerships to create a more efficient, smoother way of operating.
Online networks have allowed GYE to source talented bloggers and journalists across the globe, supporting the venture through social media and collaborating in other areas such as design of the website.
Additionally, GYE partnered with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2014, to create an impact on young entrepreneurs, which was measured by GEW and resulted in GYE being awarded the High Impact Host Award 2014.
Alongside working with freelance journalists, we are now outsourcing some elements of the business such as website coding to allow more time for the editorial aspects of the magazine.
