Simply put, Geek Talent would not exist were it not for working smarter. We were able to take an idea for a business and make it a reality using 100% remote workers based in China, India and London.
After six months our startup is now employing five full-time staff, has raised over £300,000 of investment and is on course to turnover more than £250,000 in its first year.
We continue to make use of flexible workers and online design competitions for everything from logos to software development and even a car wrap for our promotional VW Camper van.
We also created a better product with flexible crowd-sourced design competitions via platforms such as 99designs.co.uk, as we get the benefit of receiving more varied designs compared to working with one agency or designer.
It hasn’t been all plain sailing with using remote workers, but problems can be overcome with clear instructions, an agile plan and good communication between all parties.
We look forward to continuing to innovate by launching new products faster with the help of remote workers as we test the market without risking costly mistakes.
